LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE
Under normal use and service, and subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations stated herein, Perma-TrimBoard is warranted by EDGE BUILDING PRODUCTS, INC. ( the manufacturer ) to you, the original purchaser(s) to be free from manufacturing defects that cause the product to peel, blister, flake, corrode, rot, or excessive swell.   Perma-TrimBoard is a weatherable PVC product (it may slightly yellow, then fade back to white over time).

Should any of the manufacturing defects stated above occur while any of the original purchasers are living and retain title to the structure to which the material is applied, the manufacturer will [ at its option ] repair, refinish, or replace the part or portion determined to be defective at no cost to the original purchaser(s) not including labor or make refund according to the provisions stated in the Remedies section of this Warranty.

LIMITATIONS - CONDITIONS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
This Warranty covers only manufacturing defects as stated herein.   It does not cover, nor is the manufacturer liable for, any failure or damage to the material resulting from, but not limited to Normal and expected weathering* due to exposure to the elements; Impact of foreign objects other than hail, Earthquake, flood, fire, lighting, ice, windstorm, tornado, windborne objects, Acts of God, or other catastrophic phenomena of nature, Unreasonable use, misuse, physical abuse, vandalism, riot, insurrection, intentional or accidental damage; Owners failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance ( See maintenance instructions ); Use of incompatible accessories or products which cause a defect or failure to occur in the material; Atmospheric pollution, acid rain, or any other harmful chemicals, agents, fumes or vapors applied to the material; Use in industrial applications;   Movement or settlement of the structure or distortion, warping, cracking or other failure of the substrate wall to which the material is fastened.   THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT WARRANT INSTALLATION, NOR DEFECTS OR FAILURES CAUSED BY IMROPER INSTALLATION.

The application of paint finishes or coatings as well as their performance are not covered under the Warranty.   The Warranty will become void if Edge Building Products painting guidelines and the guidelines of the paint manufacturer are not expressly followed, especially as they relate to surface preparation, (UMA) primer used and choice of colors.   Colors with a light reflectance value (LRV) higher than (lighter than) 55%, must be used.   An LRV of 100% equals bright white while 0% is flat black.
*NOTE: Normal weathering is defined as exposure to ultraviolet light and extremes of weather and atmosphere which will cause any surface to fade, darken, chalk, or acquire a surface accumulation of dirt.   The severity of these conditions depends on the air quality, the geographic location of your home, and local conditions over which the manufacturer has no control.

OBTAINING PERFORMANCE OF THIS WARRANTY
If you feel that your Perma-TrimBoard is not free from manufacturing defects as described above, you should notify the manufacturer promptly following discovery of the defect by writing to:

Briefly state the nature of your complaint and submit proof of installation date.   The manufacturer will reply within a reasonable time from receipt of your claim, and may request additional information, photographic evidence, or physical samples con-cerning your claim.   Further, the manufacturer reserves the right to inspect any claimed defects.

REMEDIES
Upon determination by the manufacturer that a warranted defect exists, you will be notified of the remedy chosen in compliance with the terms of this Warranty, and will within a reasonable time after notification, make the necessary repairs, refinish, or replace the Perma-TrimBoard found defective, or pay the sums described below.

In lieu of repair, refinishing, or replacement of the material found defective in Limited Warranty Coverage above, the manufacturer reserves the right to pay the original purchaser(s) an amount in cash equal to the cost of the defective material described in this Warranty, not to exceed the purchase price paid by the original purchaser(s) of the Perma-TrimBoard for material only.

The manufacturer reserves the right to discontinue or change any product design, or color without notice to the original purchaser, and shall not be liable to the original purchaser as a result of such discontinuance or changes.   If the original type or color of Perma-TrimBoard covered by this Warranty is not available, the manufacturer will substitute a product that ( in the manufacturer's sole discretion ) is of equal price and quality.

All warranty work will be accomplished by the manufacturer or its designated agents.

THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH IN THIS CERTIFICATE IS THE ONLY WARRANTY EXTENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCT.   THE MANUFACTURER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE TO YOU FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR THE BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SAID PRODUCT.   NO MODIFICATION OR CHANGE TO THIS WARRANTY WILL BE EFFECTIVE UNLESS IT IS MADE IN A WRITTEN DOCUMENT SIGNED BY AN OFFICER OF THE MANUFACTURER.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state.
